OUR PHILOSPHY

As with most things, the origins of quality improvement depend entirely upon who you speak to. Some want to track it back as far as the craft guilds of Medieval Europe; others focus upon 20th century characters such as Joseph Juran, Edward Deming and Bill Smith. And these days some are replacing the term "quality" with "continuous".
Honestly... we're not particularly bothered!
We comprise a band of renegades who are genuinely passionate about quality improvement and grateful to those that brought us to where we are. But we rally against anyone who wants to treat it like pseudo-science, the knowledge of which only privileged few can posses. It's not a dark art!

Although there are certainly some complex elements, by and large the principles of quality improvement are very much common sense. It's merely a different lens through which organisations, colleagues and entire systems can view the world.
And that's our philosophy:
Make the theory, concepts and practice of
quality improvement accessible to everyone.
Forget the Japanese terminology; disband unnecessary complexities and simply distil it down to the basics. If we can translate the teachings of quality improvement to a kid fresh out of school, then that's how we're going to engage and enthuse others. The more niche or pretentious we make it, the less effective it will be. Or at least, that's been our experience working across many sectors and organisations over many years.
All our consultants are educated, experienced in a range of industries and share the same philosophy that we do. But above all, we rate their passion, dynamism and tenacity to deliver significant, sustainable change ... at pace.
